About me

I am extremely lucky to have the creative freedom of being a photographer, which allows me to have the lifestyle I desire. I love being invited to photograph intimate parts of peoples lives, I feel privilaged to experience parts of peoples lives that others don’t get to see. This has included photographing births, christenings, engagements and private moments between mum and newborn babies. I take my inspiration from my visits to art galleries around the world.

I spent six months travelling the world with my camera and was invited into strangers homes to capture their daily lives. I set off on my travels with no itinerary or expectation and came back with a new outlook on life. I love photography and it has become a huge part of my life.

My friends tell me I’m a warm and bubbly person and this spills over into my photography and how I work with my clients. I have a background, studying Graphic design and Art history to degree level, then working in design for ten ten years, before enjoying motherhood whilst combining it with building my bespoke gifts and jewellery business. Four years ago I studied Cognitive Hypnotherapy and NLP at the Quest Institute, this year’s learning has given me a huge insight into individuality and visualisation, which I use in my work on a daily basis and comes in extremely handy. I was hugely influenced by my grand father who took most of our childhood photos and am treasure his box brownie camera. I feel blessed to have come from a large family of artists, actors and musicians, who inspired my need for creativity.

I’m mum to three grownup children, I’ve adored photographing their everyday lives over the years. Talking my grown up daughter recently she said ‘mum you were never without a camera in your hand’ She and my son went on to study photography at college and I so I guess it’s in the genes.

I’d love to meet you for a chat about your photography requirements.
